This is a introductory foundation course where you learn the basics of throwing, trimming and glazing. Most suitable for absolute beginners.

Week 1 - Cylinders and mug bodies 

Week 2 - Trimming and mug handles

Week 3 - Bowls 

Week 4 - Trimming and finishing pieces 

Week 5 - Glazing

Expect to keep up to 6 pieces you’ve made over the course*

*The number of pieces you make depends on your throwing, but we give these max limits within the cost of the course. For additional pieces to be fired, this is no problem and it’s £10 a piece which covers materials/firing costs.

If you cannot attend a session -

Regrettably we are not able to accommodate rearranging or replacing sessions that you cannot attend, such as in the case of travel or illness. Most people cannot make one of the sessions and it’s unfortunately too complicated to rearrange sessions for everyone.

However you are always welcome to book a private 1-1 session via the website if you wanted to make up the time.
