Izzy Letty

Studio Director & Teacher

Izzy started Stoneware Studios in 2024 with the ambition to bring a wheel throwing studio to Fulham. She’s passionate about teaching and loves guiding both those new to pottery and experienced potters looking to develop their skills.

Her own ceramics practice has focused on functional tableware and she’s partnered with establishments such as Fortnum & Mason. She’s currently exploring throwing larger and more decorative vessels.

For 2025 she’s been selected as one of the Kings’ Foundation 35 under 35, representing pottery. Her work has been featured in publications including World of Interiors and she’s appeared in the BBC1 show Make it at Market.

Izzy currently teaches mid-week Beginner and Developer courses, Thursday evening privates and the Full Day Throwing Intensives.

Look out for her candlestick masterclass this Autumn. Dates released soon.

Jago Poynter

Teacher

Jago Poynter has been a devotee of clay and the craft of ceramics throughout his adult life. Post a BA in Ceramic Art from CSAD, his experiences stretch as far as Jingdezhen China, the home of porcelain and he now works from his studio near Frome, Somerset. He is known particularly for his use of the wheel with his work described by one collector as ‘beautiful and pure, evoking serenity and peace’.

For the past six years Jago has led pottery classes across London, sharing his passion and becoming part of the journey of many emerging potters.

Jago has bookable private sessions on Thursday mornings and is leading a Full Day Intensive Throwing Workshop on 25th October.

Look out for masterclass workshops taught by Jago too.

Tash Hart

Teacher

Tash explores the relationship between mindfulness and craft in her work, creating objects that invite touch and quiet interaction. Function is central to her design philosophy, with each piece made to be used and held. Drawing on natural materials like wood ash, Tash brings a sense of wonder to her work, echoing the quiet awe we often feel in nature.

She has spent countless hours at the wheel, honing her craft with patience, curiosity, and a deep respect for the flow state.

As a teacher, Tash encourages students to explore their own rhythms, build practical skills, and embrace the beautiful mess of the process.

Tash currently teaches mid-week evening Beginner and Developer courses and some weekend private sessions.

Look out for her Matcha set masterclass this Autumn.
